“A coat should be a comfortable layer of fabric, not a constrictive body bag”

Trench Coat

… is a wardrobe essential, a staple for both Men and Women. Worn over business professional or casual wear and continues to be one of those classic-never-goes-out-of-style pieces you cannot resist! It is important to look for a tailored, good fabric and absolute fit to get it right. For traditional look the length of the coat should sit just above the knee.

Also …

For a belted design, if you are slim you can tie the belt. However to avoid bulky look tie the belt to the back.

If you are petite or short avoid a very wide collar that will make you look shorter.

If you are tall opt for a below-the-knee or longer length.

For a good fit, remember that single breasted design will suit most figures however double breasted are more suited to tall and narrower or slim body shapes.

Look for timeless colours that you can wear not only for the season but for years such as white, grey or navy and black, just not in leather.
